It Doesn't Matter Where You Live

It Doesn't Matter Where You Live

I ran across an old one about "Apartment Living" and died laughing as I read it. It doesn't really matter if it's an apartment, condo, townhouse, house..if it's not on some acreage you're dealing with neighbors.

Apartment Living

Why is it okay to be a noisy, disrespectful neighbor if you live in an apartment? Most of the time you are paying the same as a mortgage so you'd expect at least half way decent behaviors from your neighbors, right! I guess that's why people always say, "get a house." Well, I say, "can't beat 'em, join 'em." I think tomorrow morning I will wake up to my favorite chic cd blaring through the house as I vacuum. Then I'll do some Aerobics (I live on 2nd flr of 3.) I'll very noisily unload my dishwasher as I make breakfast. Belt out the lyrics to my favorite tunes in the shower. Jump down the stairs to my car whistling loudly and driving away - windows down & radio blaring. What do you think? Buy a house.

Guess What, Now I Live In A House

Okay, so now I live in a house. It's no different. You still have the neighbors who always have major drama filled lives. The ones who have dogs yet don't properly care for the flea & tick control. The ones whose car alarm goes off all the time because of a neighborhood cat. The house parties until 4 am. The mooches. The ones who ask to borrow things and never return them or bring them back to you broken. The ones who park a million cars in their yard. The ones who never mow their yard or trim their trees. The ones who see no issues with asking ridiculous questions like can they borrow the tag to your boat trailer. UH...NO!! Are you freaking kidding me?

You may not have all those but you've probably had one or two at times. I think the only way to go is invest in some land, clear it and build on it as you rent somewhere fun (say on the water for example) then by the time you are ready to move to the land; you are all set and NO NEIGHBOR ISSUES..
Oh yea, now that will be nice!

Some of my favorite pet pics...

These are some of my favorite pics of the pets in our family. In age order: Mugsy (cat RIP), Lexi, Indy, Lucy, Lacey.
The pic with the 3 in the pool was when Indy and Lucy were still just puppies.
The pic of Lucy in the upper right hand corner won a Purina contest & was posted on a billboard in NYC.
The pic of Mugsy in the window is my absolute favorite. That's how I remember him. It was his fav spot in the apartment. He would sit there all day just watching the ducks and listening to the fountain.
I love the pic of Lucy on the bottom right hand corner. She loves getting in the kiddie pool and chasing down the frisbee. She was soaked and having a blast that day. and of course, my little peanut, Lacey in all her cuteness. She is growing fast. I think she could end up being the largest of all 4 dogs.

Where is your peaceful place?

Where is your peaceful place?

A friend of mine posted some pics of the sunset on the beach last night and it reminded me how the beauty of nature can truly relieve your stress and prepare you for a new day.
At times, work can be overwhelming, home can be a little upsetting, financial hardships could plague your mind all day, or maybe your just having a little tiff with a friend or family member. It happens.

I think here in Florida, most of us escape to the beach to sit on the beautiful white sand, listen to the waves crash in and relax as the ocean breeze sweeps through you. It is so calming.

This is a picture of my peaceful place, Fantasy Island. No, when you pull up to the island a small man does not run around the island saying, "de boat de boat" (because you arrive by boat vs. plane). Instead you pull up to a small piece of beauty hiding out in a large bay.

So, for those of you who aren't close to an ocean, tell us where your peaceful place is?

Viewing on mobile

Since most of my audience is viewing me on mobile devices; be sure to check out the 2 new tabs Pets and Travel. There should be a drop down up at the top for you to access all three.

It was a weird weekend. We had out of towners in again and both guys started their new jobs. I am adjusting to my new found freedom and the girls are very clingy as the daily routine changes a bit.

I hope everyone enjoys their day. My next Epiphany post will be on Wednesday.
